I mentioned in my last batch of random thoughts that we the choir at church is preparing for an opera-themed dinner in September.
So, I decided I’d post some YouTube videos of a few of the songs we’re doing for y’all.
The first is Va, Pensiero, which is just incredibly beautiful:
This is the humming chorus from Madame Butterfly, which is just brutally high:
And the Neighbors Chorus from La jolie Parfumeuse:
We’ve got some other pieces, but these are the three that stick out in my mind.
