Yes
Snow
it snowed earlier today... nothing too impressive, but it did nonetheless.
I was over at a friends house today in Houston before the Aeros game I went to... we were outside watching her six year old brother who is just sooooo cute... She decided to show off how she can kick and get her foot above her head... Me, in one of my dumber moments, decided to try it even though I KNOW I'm a klutz and will probably end up falling on my butt... well... I did it and fell, managing to scrape my ankle on the curb on the way down... I'm ok, just hurting a little bit from the fall...
I'll sure think twice before doing that again.
Wish I'd had a video camera though.
I did pretty good for the semester, got my grades on Friday.
I've got a 3.75 GPA, making A's in 3 of 4 classes.
Now I just gotta figure out why they have a hold on me tomorrow. ARGH!!!
Sponsor makes plea to Beltran
Houston company to run ads in San Juan Star
I gotta say... it's corny, but it can't hurt... I don't think...
Yep.
Finals.
They start next week.
Yippie!!!
Can you feel the excitement?
Good.
You should.
Monday's the last class day.
Tuesday's dead day, which is suppossed to be for studying.
But really, who does study all of dead day?
Oh, you do???
Dang, you're a dedicated nerd, aren't you?
Thought so.
Unlike you, I decided to do important stuff that day.
Like taking Bear to get his shots...
And Christmas shopping.
And... stuff.
So maybe I will have some time to study.
Of course, my first final isn't until Thursday, so I guess I could study on Wednesday.
Studying isn't just for dedicated nerds, It comes in handy for people seeking to get a CCNA certification too.
As soon as I get one of those, I can make tons of money.
And not come back to school after the spring.
Maybe.
I dunno.
I'm a moron.
Ianiero Named ECHL Player of the Week
The first player in our team's short history to win the award.
And aint the sweater sweet too? :)
Yea, I decided to go and edit the contents of this thing to put the pic in... so sue me.
And the case of pucks mentioned went to the Aeros youth hockey league in Houston since there isn't a league in Beaumont.
Yep, you guessed it... random thoughts!!!
I had a feeling the 'Stros-Cards series would go 7, I was hoping I was wrong, but dang, I wasn't. It's not like we haven't had our backs against the wall before this season (36-10 to finish the regular season and 12-3 over the Braves in game 5). They're just trying to make it interesting.
Now, think about it, Games three and seven would be Pedro and Clemens... Think about it, Game 7 on Halloween with the BoSox having to beat not just the curse, but Roger Clemens... I LOVE IT!!!
GO 'STROS!!!
Garner made some bonehead moves... One was pulling Clemens after 5... supposedly he was out of gas, but I have a hard time believing that after his performance in the 5th... The other one was implementing a double switch to move the pitcher in the one spot... you only move the pitcher back one spot in the order and take out one of your hottest hitters in Biggio... I just don't get it... The game was hard to watch at the end, but we'll get 'em tomorrow!!!
ok, so I was wrong about the MIN-NYY series... I think it's the Sox's year to beat the evil empire though... The Astros are looking good, up 5-2 in the 4th of game 4 as I type... Is it possible that I nail the number of games for both NLDS series? It's starting to look like it... :)
Well... that's what I'm predicting...
Houston | 3 | Houston | 4 | Houston | 4 | Houston |
Atlanta | 1 | |||||
Los Angeles | 1 | St. Louis | 2
St. Louis | 3 | |||||
Boston | 3 | Boston | 4 | Boston | 2

I was out of town this weekend attending the Astros series against the Rockies... all I have to say is WHAT A SERIES!!! It was a blast... :)

Tomorrow's going to be a long day. My dad's memorial service is tomorrow, and after that I get to drive to Houston and visit my mom's house...
I'm going to her house because I'm going to the Astros game Sunday and I don't wanna have to drive in that morning and meeting someone up there
See y'all Sunday night
I swear, the schedule at LIT is really messing me up. They only have classes Monday through Thursday so I keep thinking Thursday is Friday, Friday is Saturday, etc... It's really confusing...
I am glad to be back in school for the record
I'm NOT glad that the SIS was down all day yesterday, since i needed to make a change to my schedule. The schedule change worked out, though, since I no longer have a 5:30 to 9 class on thursday nights and have a more consistent schedule
All in all, I'm happy... now if I can just pass Cisco 1 & 2 :)
As I posted on here yesterday, I'd be doing an interview with KG himself, Kevin Gerty. I decided not to do more since it's already pretty long. Here goes nothing:

An interview with Kevin Gerty
KG is the same guy that did Mandy's interview. Part of it has already been done, I'll post it when the interview is completed sometime within the next few days.

Some interesting stuff from Mandy
Well... It's been a week and a half since the accident. Jason's gonna be back in school on Monday, I'm gonna hop on my motorcycle for the first time since tomorrow, and maybe even go for a nice cruise up towards the lakes if I see Terry at church tomorrow.
I guess I ought to say thanks to everybody for their prayers and support, I can feel it.
I'm getting back to watching the Astros and complaining about the bullpen inhaling profusely and having a really bad odor coming from it.
Well, that's all I got to say for now, leave some.
EDIT: I didn't go for that ride, allergies have kept me home all day :(
Last night my dad and my brother were involved in a motorcycle accident. My brother is doing ok, he is home from the hospital after a visit to the ER really beat up but he'll be back to normal in a few months, no serious injuries. Unfortunately, my dad wasn't so lucky and died at the scene. This is really hard for my whole family, so please keep me, my brother, and my family in your prayers.
Thank you, and you'll probably not hear from me again for a while.
At the next Astros game I go to (next Sunday), I'm considering doing like Carlos Delgato (a Yankee player that has chosen to sit in the dugout for God Bless America) and sitting for the playing of "Deep in the Heart of Texas" as a protest of our current governor, Rick Perry. I'll still do the clap, and probably sing along (although people around me asways request that I don't), just not stand. Will it do any good? No. Will I feel better? Probably not. Will I even be able to? I kinda doubt it, I think Andy (see my last post) will make me.
I just wanted to say that, I don't know why :)

write about how wonderful and awesome [she is]
Quote:
no offense, but if i'm gonna write about how wonderful and awesome some chick is, it won't be you.
I just wanna congratulate my boy Bri-Bri for 1. getting the guts to pop the question to his girlfriend Christen last night, and 2. her saying yes, and wish them the best down the road together.
Now this just makes me feel bad for being single.
Offbeat, yet on the issues affecting today's world.
A brief commentary by Justin L. Yarbrough
WARNING: If you can't handle someone calling it exactly like they see it, don't read on.
What am I talking about, you ask? I’m referring to what seems to be the hot-button topic right now, same-sex marriage. Proponents for legalizing it say it's all about love. Well, aint that sweet, they want to get married all of a sudden, but why now? Why didn't they push for this before now? It's not like people just started being gay five years ago or something, or did I not get that memo (like usual)?
Don't get me wrong; I have nothing at all against people who choose to live their lives differently than I do. What people do with their lives is nobody's business unless it makes life difficult for others. Do I agree with it? No, it goes against my morals. Do I hold that against them? No, I judge someone based on his or her character.
With that out of the way, I'll tell you why we have the push for it now. Money. In a society that won't hold back from suing you for looking at you funny because they see financial opportunities abound, these couples have seen a window, an opportunity, to get in on the action. That's it. I wish it was deeper than that, but it really isn't. If it were about love, they'd have pushed for this a long time before now, and it’s quite possible that it would be a normal part of life now.
I, personally, am undecided on the issue of whether or not gay couples should be able to marry; I am simply questioning the motivations. On one hand, my religious convictions tell me that it’s wrong and shouldn’t be allowed, the other telling me that they do, in fact, deserve the same rights as straight couples, and I’ll probably remain on the fence for some time about the issue.
In the movie, Jimmy Wilson (Robert Lowell), who is neglected by his alcoholic parents, enters into a life of crime in order to impress his girlfriend, a singer at an area nightclub. The cast in the movie was forgettable for the most part. The only one who really sticks in my mind was Mary Beth Hughes, who played Jimmy's girlfriend Kitty Reed. She had an awesome singing voice. If you wanna know more about the plot, read the summary that can be found by following the IMDb link. The movie was one of the last filmed in an era where movies always taught morals, and soon after, the focus in Hollywood switched over to real life. Thank goodness that era ended. I'll give it a 2/10 simply because I didn't ever roll my eyes while watching the movie (maybe because I was too tired).Eegah (1962) IMDb listing
Ranked 5th on the IMDb Bottom 100 I thought that the modern horror movies like Scream (II, III), and I Know What You Did Last Summer were the worst of horror movies. Boy was I in for a surprise. Eegah (Richard Kiel), a giant caveman, basically falls in love with this teenage chick and all hell breaks loose. Kiel (who also was in the movies Moonraker and The Spy Who Loved Me as Jaws, and Happy Gilmore as Mr. Larson) was the only redeeming quality the movie had, as I like him. The movie gets a 1/10 because of Kiel, and only because of Kiel. What was I thinking when I sat down to watch these???
That's easy. My dad got these two movies from Netflix as part of the "Mystery Science Theater 3000" series, which basically makes really bad movies tolerable by cracking jokes throughout. It's the only way possible to watch some movies. Too bad the series was cancelled in 1999, after 197 episodes, as Gigli would have been a perfect candidate for the show. I'll give the series an 8/10 because although there are some stupid parts, it makes really bad movies bearable.
