Beaumont's hockey team, the Texas Wildcatters, won their first game last night 5-2, making this the first time in the team's brief history (this is their third season in the ECHL).
This year looks like it's going to be a much better team than they put on the ice the previous two seasons. They didn't play last year thanks to Rita, but this year's team looks to be WAY better than the previous years, which makes me happy.
It's just a shame that The San Diego Gulls are no longer in the league, or I'd probably make another friendly bet with K T Cat.
UPDATE: No good things can last forever, as the 'Catters were dropped 5-2 tonight
