Ponder this...

Does the fact that someone lost a loved one mean that their actions shouldn't be criticized in a manner similar to this post from last year?

Well, it might be a way to follow the biblical injunction to avoid passing judgment on your neighbors.

Almost everyone has suffered major losses in some way. Yes, there are those statistical anomalies for whom everything goes right, but for the most of us, life is hard.

Perhaps instead of exempting people of criticism, we should try to appreciate their point of view while we criticize.

Scribbit has a great example of this. The post is a bit long, but it's quite illustrative.

The comments speak volumes as well.
