Check the weather first.
I didn't do that before I went today to get some computer parts and I ended up regretting it on the way back.
I was coming back from the Fry's in Webster (Map) and from the about halfway up the ship channel beidge on the Beltway to about Anahuac it was raining constantly. It was a blast, lemme tell ya. One stretch was so bad that everybody was driving 30.
If I'd had any idea it was gonna rain like that I wouldn't have gone today.
