...it's that Bonds leaves Houston still stuck at 713 homers.
Not that Bonds didn't swing a good bat, mind you. Take a look at his stats.
GAME AB R H RBI BB SO Mon. 3 1 1 1 1 1 Tues. 4 3 2 1 0 0 --------+--+--+---+---+---+ TOTAL 7 4 3 2 1 1
That's a pretty good line for two nights. Just not the HR that everybody was looking for and that I didn't wanna see our guys give up.
After these three losses with a combined score of 34-5 I am now convinced that the Giants own the Astros. I don't know why, they just do. It's just one of those weird things in baseball that happens sometimes.
Just be glad that we don't face them any more this season.
By the way, the Giants pitching staff did not retaliate for the Bonds plunk last night. I still say that was intentional. If you still haven't seen the video, you can click here and there's a link to pop it up on that page. Sorry, I can't link straight to the video, but I did try to.
Yes, I'm a little surprised that they didn't. I guess the league made a phone call or something.
